## Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join our team. This position will entail performing security reviews of various types (smart contract, web2 code, cloud, and operational security), as well as contributing towards development of our various products when not actively performing audits.

We will train you on our audit processes, but a solid understanding of security engineering principles is a must. We are primarily looking for someone able to perform OpSec audits, following our well-defined process and the [W3OS standard](https://github.com/W3OSC/web3-opsec-standard).

## Requirements

- Proven history of working in a web2 security position (at least 1 year - a must)
- Strong understanding of networking, cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), terraform
- Proven history of working in the web3 either as a developer, independent hunter, etc.
- Development experience and capability to contribute quality features to large codebases in multiple languages (typescript, python, rust)

## Key Responsibilities

- Perform OpSec audits for clients, following the W3OS standard
- Take on minor coding tasks as needed in between audits
- Assist with other audits as a secondary reviewer (Infrastructure/Cloud, web2, smart contracts)
- Regularly update the W3OS standard with new guidance and requirements
- Perform QA testing and give feedback on new and existing product features

## Additional Opportunities

- Research security topics and publish articles
- Collaborate with the team on research and development for new product and feature ideas
- Automate internal operational flows using AI

## Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary with revenue share on audits performed, and opportunities for bonuses when delivering on large projects.

- Salary: $100k+ USD
- Rev share: 5% on audits
- Paid time off as needed
