CCP Games is looking for an experienced, self-motivated Senior Game Designer with a deep passion for games and virtual worlds to work on a new unannounced project set in the EVE Universe. The position is in our Reykjavik office.

The ideal candidate can work on both conceptual level as well as on implementation level, bringing strong experience and expertise in Game Design. We’re looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about collaborating in solving complex problems for our players.

Your tasks

• Designing of large features, systems, and content for the new project in collaboration with the Design Discipline
• Collaborating with other departments within the project to ensure positive communication and cross-discipline problem solving
• Work with production to provide support with scoping, progress updates feedback on high-level plans
• Provide mentoring and guidance to other designers and individuals on the team

Your profile

• 5+ years of experience in game design (with a preference for games with open economies, progression, etc.), including senior/lead design experience on a shipped/live product
• University degree in Game Design, Economics, Software Engineering, or another relevant degree
• Extensive content and systems design experience
• Expertise and passion for robust design documentation and the tools needed to describe and share ideas (Figma, Excel, Miro, Photoshop, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Comfort with learning and using feature implementation tools and interfaces

Bonus

• Background in Python/SQL or other relevant technical experience
• Interest and/or experience in Blockchain/Crypto
• Knowledge and experience of EVE Online/EVE Universe
