Reykjavík - Full time

CCP Reykjavík is looking for a Technical Manager with a solid technical background to lead one of its teams that supports the technical needs of its games.

The role involves working closely with your team and other team leads to plan, estimate, prioritize and execute according to project goals as well as supporting the professional development of your team members. If you are a talented problem solver who has experience in managing infrastructure and a passion for coaching and leading others, we would love to speak to you.

Your tasks:

  • Work closely with your team and production to efficiently disseminate vision into features and tasks according to project goals
  • Work with and manage external partners who contribute to supporting the infrastructure of supported games
  • Ensure all team members have the resources they need and resolve bottlenecks before they arise
  • Iterate on methods and processes to improve the team's capability to deliver
  • Have oversight of budget for cloud and on prem infrastructure
  • Manage the performance and professional development of the engineers within your team
  • Coordinate and participate in on-call rotation with your team

Your profile:

  • B.Sc. in Software Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure
  • General networking knowledge
  • General database knowledge
  • People management experience
  • Stellar communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with and passion for coaching, mentoring or leading others
  • Ability to identify creative strategies and solutions to address technical problems
