Computational Immunologist/Bioinformatician

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, growing FRO startup, which is still in stealth. We are looking for a Computational Immunologist/Bioinformatician with experience in the modeling and analysis of large-scale immunological datasets. The successful candidate will develop pipelines for and contribute to the analysis of large-scale adaptive immune cell datasets. You will work closely with other computational and experimental scientists to create groundbreaking new insights into adaptive immunity.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, implement, computational pipelines for high-throughput immune cell datasets (both bulk and single-cell as well as other functional data types)
  • Perform deep and detailed analyses for data-intensive experiments
  • Prepare large-scale datasets for internal and external usage
  • Hands-on development of interactive tools for other teammates (RShiny, Python)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others


Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, or related fields is required
  • Experience in adaptive immunity research
  • Proven track record of developing computational analysis of immune cell data
  • Expertise with sc-RNAseq data
  • Proficiency with Python/R, associated analyses and visualization packages, as well as command line
  • Expertise with good practices for reproducible research (git, Jupyter)


Advanced Qualifications (experience in one or all of the following is preferred, but not required)

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms
  • Experience in machine learning
  • Experience with simulation frameworks for immune receptor data
