Chief Marketing Officer

Fluence is the first decentralized “Cloudless” computing platform, providing an open alternative to the giant internet cloud monopolies. Fluence is up to 80% cheaper than cloud providers and is both resilient and verifiable. Fluence assembles excess compute capacity from top tier data centers around the world into a global, always-on DePIN network that is suitable for running a wide range of applications. The platform is open, allowing users to change providers easily, ensuring that prices stay low and service levels are high.

As a Chief Marketing Officer and a core team member, you will:

• Develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns in alignment with core business goals.
• Lead yearly and quarterly marketing planning process, setting goals, KPIs, and consistent reporting.
• Own marketing budget planning and reporting.
• Build and manage a high-performing in-house marketing team, overseeing social, community, public relations, content, growth and events functions.
• Hire and manage external marketing agencies and contractors.
• Work closely with Product & Engineering, BD and DevRel department leaders to ensure strategic and cultural alignment.
• Build a world-class recognizable brand for Fluence, making the company a leading voice in web3, DePIN and deAI, and driving product adoption.
• Conduct ongoing market trends research, finding new opportunities for audience growth.

What we’re looking for:

• Perfect in-person and written communicator: you can synthesize complex technology and concepts into product communication for a broad audience including developers, media, non-technical users, and industry experts
• Impressive product marketing and communications work experience, preferably in cloud computing, SaaS, open source
• Experience in growing tech products from the ground up in product-driven teams and organizations
• Being crypto-native and up-to-date with latest developments in the space
• Being self-starter focused on outcomes

Requirements:

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Chief Marketing Officer, Head of Marketing or similar role within the decentralized technology space.
• Crypto-native experience: deep immersion into the web3 market narratives and infrastructure developments.
• Strong understanding of decentralized technologies, blockchain ecosystems, and web3 concepts.
• Strong personal network within web3 marketing & BD communities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
• Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for building communities.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing community platforms and tools.
