Program Manager, Partnerships
Foresight Institute — Berlin, Germany or San Francisco, CA (with travel)
About the Role
Foresight Institute is a nonprofit advancing research across AI safety, biotech, nanotechnology, neuroscience, and space. We run fellowships, grants, workshops, and prize programs. As Partnerships & Program Manager, you’ll grow our funder relationships, manage our fundraising grant pipeline, and run our prizes program. This role is for someone who’s organized, externally facing, and comfortable representing us at events independently.
What You’ll Do
Partnerships, fundraising & impact
- Manage donor and sponsor relationships, often end-to-end
- Write and manage fundraising grant applications — tracking deadlines, coordinating inputs, and owning submissions
- Own and report on fundraising targets and pipeline metrics, keeping shared data management systems up-to-date
- Attend conferences and events on behalf of Foresight; identify and cultivate new funders and partners
- Hit fundraising milestones and report against targets — you own the number, not just the process
- Managing org-wide fundraising material, reporting, impact data and project management
Prizes Program
- Own Foresight’s prizes program: process design, applicant tracking, advisory coordination, communications, and outcome documentation.
Who You Are
- Strong networker who proactively builds relationships, not just maintains them.
- Travel-ready and comfortable representing Foresight independently.
- Organized and deadline-driven across multiple workstreams.
- Team player: independent when needed, collaborative when it counts
- A rigorous project manager: you track what’s open, close the loop, and keep multiple workstreams moving without dropping anything.
- Successful experiences with fundraising grant writing is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Foresight’s mission areas
Qualifications
- 4-6 years in partnerships, fundraising, program management, or a related field.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, small-team environments and lots of traveling
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects independently.
Don’t hesitate to apply even if you don’t meet every criterion.
