Position Description
The John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at Harvard University seeks applicants for a tenured rank position in Environmental Science and Engineering (ESE), in the field of atmospheric chemistry, with emphasis on modeling and remote sensing. The expected start date is July 1, 2026. The successful applicant will teach and advise at the undergraduate and graduate levels in ESE and in the new proposed Energy, Climate, and Environment (ENCE) concentration. Harvard SEAS provides a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative environment, with the opportunity to work with students and colleagues from diverse fields, including strong connections with departments in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the professional schools.
Basic Qualifications
Candidates are required to have a doctorate in an appropriate field of engineering or atmospheric science.
Additional Qualifications
Candidates are expected to have demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching, advising, and research in ESE and ENCE. Candidates should also evince intellectual leadership and impact on the field and potential for significant contributions to SEAS, the University, and wider scholarly community.
