Position Description
We invite applicants for a postdoctoral fellow position in the Regehr lab at Harvard Medical School. The work of the Regehr lab is focused on the cerebellum. We welcome applications from recent PhD graduates who are interested in these or related fields, particularly those who could bring a new technology or perspective to bear on the work in the lab. Ideally the applicant would have experience in some or all of the following techniques: (1) Neuropixel recordings, (2) whole cell recordings in brain slice, (3) optical recordings in brain slice or in vivo (2-photon rigs are available), and (4) programming.

The successful candidate will work with Dr. Regehr to develop a mentored research project within the scope of the lab’s research focus. In addition to carrying out bench research, the successful candidate will be expected to apply for fellowship funding, contribute to the writing of grants and manuscripts, participate in teaching and mentoring of lab members as needed, contribute to overall lab operations and collaborative environment, and participate in discussions and present results to Dr. Regehr and other members of the lab on a regular basis. Additionally, postdocs will prepare presentations or posters to discuss results in department-wide seminars and at scientific conferences or workshops.

Expected Dates

  • Duration: This is a one-year term position from the date of hire, with the possibility of extension, contingent upon work performance, business need, and continued funding to support the position.
