About Our Client
Our client is a blockchain-powered solar energy company that leverages game theory and cryptocurrency to maximize the impact of every dollar spent on solar energy. By applying the same decentralized incentive mechanisms that helped Bitcoin grow, they are working to build solar farms at a massive scale around the world.
Their model works by having solar farms reinvest all earnings back into building more solar, ensuring capital efficiency over time. Every unit of energy produced is tracked and reported transparently, and each farm is verified through a combination of AI, satellites, and in-person site visits.
About The Role
We are searching for a Head of Operations to serve as the operational backbone of a fast-growing blockchain-powered solar energy company based in San Francisco. In this role, you will coordinate physical solar projects on the ground with a wide range of stakeholders including the foundation, solar installers, government officials, and public-facing politicians to ensure key objectives and timelines are met.
Core responsibilities include overseeing the end-to-end solar farm pipeline across diverse geographic locations, managing the full lifecycle of solar installers from vetting to project delivery, and proactively identifying and resolving regulatory or logistical roadblocks. You will also design scalable operational playbooks, drive automation and efficiency improvements, and act as a critical bridge between the CEO and cross-functional teams including Engineering, Audit, and Marketing.
The ideal candidate brings 5–7+ years of experience in high-pressure environments such as finance, consulting, or crypto operations, and is looking for a COO-track role with genuine ownership. You are a first-principles thinker who thrives in unstructured environments, remains calm under pressure, and has a track record of working directly with senior executives to drive execution.

Ability to oversee and manage end-to-end solar farm pipelines across diverse geographic locations and multiple installers

Proven ability to design, document, and implement scalable playbooks for onboarding, team operations, and project delivery

Ability to identify and execute operational improvements, leveraging automation and dashboards to streamline manual workflows

Ability to act as a bridge for the CEO, turning high-level goals into structured execution plans with clear deliverables

Ability to serve as "connective tissue" between Engineering, Ops, Audit, and Marketing to ensure alignment on conflicting priorities
