Role Detail: We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead and nurture a highly skilled engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. This role involves overseeing the entire product development lifecycle ensuring the timely delivery of high quality software. Additionally, they will be responsible for crafting and executing a strategic roadmap to scale engineering capabilities in alignment with company objectives and growth plans. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to the team for continuous learning and professional development is essential. The ideal candidate will stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, possess excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proven leadership experience in scaling engineering operations at an early-stage company.
• 4+ years of experience building sophisticated software products with Go or Rust, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience taking distributed systems to production.
• Experience building with Cosmos-SDK or Substrate.
• Experience with protocol design and security best practices.
• Understanding of Tendermint, CometBFT, or other consensus engines.
• Understanding of the latest blockchain technologies and cross-chain messaging.
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn about, FHE, ZK, and MPC.
• Understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into technical strategies and actionable plans.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
• Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and growth mindset.
• Experienced with building maintainable and well-documented codebases.
• Experience with open-source software development tools like GitHub.
