Role Detail: We are searching for a Web3 Site Reliability Engineering Lead to take charge of managing and optimizing the infrastructure supporting our cross-chain interoperability protocol. As the Web3 Site Reliability Engineering Lead, you will define and implement best-practice strategies for maintaining the systems critical to the mission of simplifying cross-chain interoperability. Your role will involve ensuring the reliable operation of distributed Relayer nodes across various blockchain networks, onboarding and supporting relaying partners, designing and implementing operational procedures, executing deployments and upgrades, and enhancing monitoring and observability for our protocol services.

Your expertise will be crucial in advancing blockchain applications and pushing the boundaries of what's achievable in this emerging technological landscape. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams and the broader community to scale our protocol’s architecture while staying attuned to new trends and opportunities in the blockchain ecosystem. The role offers opportunities for deep contribution and collaboration across various web3 blockchains and ecosystems, with all work being open-source to encourage widespread participation and innovation.

Requirements:

• Hands-on involvement in the Web3 sector.
• Demonstrated understanding of fundamental principles in web3 interoperability and decentralized systems.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Proven expertise utilizing contemporary Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Helm, Ansible, etc., for deployment automation and adhering to optimal CI/CD methodologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting solutions such as DataDog, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
• Implementation experience of distributed tracing, monitoring, and logging systems utilizing the OpenTelemetry Protocol.
• Participation in the construction and operation of incident response frameworks (e.g., PagerDuty) and adeptness in addressing production environment crises.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the capacity to articulate technical details effectively through documentation.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a broader team framework.
