Project: A company that focuses on designing decentralized technologies is launching the initial version of a new project. Prior to finalizing the protocol, the team conducted research on trustless computing, peer-to-peer architectures, and virtual machines, and hosted community events, hackathons, and surveys. This project is an open-source, permissionless, decentralized serverless platform and computing marketplace powered by blockchain economics. It is community-driven, with the initial code developed and maintained by the company, which has no governance authority over the network, making it equal to any other community member.

Role Detail: We are searching for a Chief Marketing Officer and core team member to lead and execute strategic marketing campaigns aligned with our core business goals. This role involves overseeing yearly and quarterly marketing planning, setting goals and KPIs, and consistent reporting. You will be responsible for marketing budget planning and reporting, building and managing a high-performing in-house marketing team, and overseeing functions such as social, community, public relations, content, growth, and events. Additionally, you will hire and manage external marketing agencies and contractors, and work closely with leaders in Product & Engineering, BD, and DevRel to ensure strategic and cultural alignment. A key aspect of the role is building a world-class recognizable brand, making the company a leading voice in web3, DePIN, and deAI, and driving product adoption. Ongoing market trends research to identify new opportunities for audience growth is also essential.

We seek a perfect in-person and written communicator who can synthesize complex technology and concepts into product communication for a broad audience, including developers, media, non-technical users, and industry experts. The ideal candidate has impressive product marketing and communications work experience, preferably in cloud computing, SaaS, or open source, and experience in growing tech products from the ground up in product-driven teams and organizations. Being crypto-native and up-to-date with the latest developments in the space, as well as being a self-starter focused on outcomes, are crucial qualities for this role.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Chief Marketing Officer, Head of Marketing, or similar role within the decentralized technology space.
  • Deep immersion in the web3 market narratives and infrastructure developments, demonstrating crypto-native experience.
  • Strong understanding of decentralized technologies, blockchain ecosystems, and web3 concepts.
  • Extensive personal network within web3 marketing and business development communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and inspiring diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for building communities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, able to work effectively in a remote and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing community platforms and tools.
