Role Detail: We are searching for a visionary leader to serve as Head of Public Interest Data Storage (PIDS), driving the mission to improve access to critical datasets through decentralized storage. This role involves defining the strategic vision, leading data onboarding to decentralized networks like Filecoin and IPFS, fostering key partnerships, overseeing tool development, and establishing standards for data usability. The ideal candidate will grow a vibrant community of users, researchers, and developers while advocating for decentralized storage technologies and continuously optimizing tools and user experience to position PIDS as a leader in the space.

Requirements:

• Technical Expertise in Decentralized Systems: Strong understanding of decentralized storage systems (Filecoin, IPFS, etc.), Web3 technologies, and interoperability.
• Data Management Experience: Experience working with large-scale datasets, particularly in public interest areas such as research, scientific data, or public datasets.
• Leadership & Strategy: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and developing strategic initiatives with measurable impact.
• Community Building & Outreach: Ability to foster and grow user communities, establish partnerships with relevant organizations, and drive adoption of decentralized solutions.
• Project Management: Experience managing complex projects, from planning through execution, in a fast-paced and evolving ecosystem.
• Communication & Advocacy: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Open-Source Contributions: Ideally, experience contributing to or leading open-source projects, particularly related to decentralized data systems.
