Science is seeking a Photolithography Process Engineer. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this individual will be responsible for the technical management of the Photolithography Process Sector. The position will interface with the Engineers to understand process-related product issues and drive improvements. This individual will also interface with Equipment Technician to identify and resolve tool problems. They will provide training and some supervisory support for Process Technicians.


  • Maintain a safe work environment within a culture of Quality and Customer Satisfaction
  • Develop and characterize processes to support new product introductions and process improvements.
  • Act as technical resource in the organization for photolithography.
  • Define and implement process control and defect reduction plans.
  • Define and execute tool start-up plans for new equipment.
  • Document and maintain operations specifications and instructions for equipment within the fabrication area.
  • Provide training and Certification to Process Technicians within fabrication area.
  • Investigate and disposition non-conforming material.
  • Drive investigation into down-tool issues related to process or defect control plans.
  • Job requires work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment and proper handling of hazardous equipment and materials. Use of hazardous chemical and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may also be required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in photolithography within development and production environments.
  • Ability to develop new photolithography processes.
  • Experience in running photolithography tools, such as coat, expose, and develop equipment.
  • Experience with analytical methods, process monitoring and control of photolithography processes
  • Experience with analytical methods and failure analysis of photolithography processes.
  • Solid interpersonal and communications skills
  • Knowledge and experience with quality system tools

Education and Experience

  • BS in Chemical engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field, plus 5 to 10 years experience in semiconductor/ process engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in photolithography is preferred.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card) status.
