We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team. This individual would be responsible for assisting with various accounting functions, including financial reporting, analysis, reconciliation, and tax preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Role responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain various reports in a timely manner for department and management use.
- Review financial information and develop spreadsheets to analyze data.
- Maintain general ledgers and ensure data integrity
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Process accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and collections.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Protect the organization's value by maintaining confidentiality of financial information
- Perform month-end close of assigned entities.
- Prepare 1099s, sales tax returns, business tax returns, and tax work papers
Key qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 2+ years of experience
- Intermediate or Advanced Excel Skills (experience with pivot tables and advanced formulas a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with general ledgers and accounts payable
- Experience with Sage Intacct and Airbase a plus
