As a small, early stage team in a largely unstructured environment, the ability to independently orient yourself to the problems that need to be solved and then follow through is essential.

We are looking for a dedicated Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support for Science leadership. We are seeking someone who is organized, proactive, and anticipate the needs of Executives while maintaining professionalism and the utmost confidentiality. We are eager to find someone who can efficiently clear the path for our leadership to allow them to focus on the company’s success.

Role & responsibilities:

  • Understand the priorities and objectives of your leader and the greater team
  • Act as gatekeeper, time-advocate, and liaison for Executives
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate internal and external meetings, functions, and events
  • Handle multiple requests for Executives' time, using strong decision-making skills in managing priority of requests, raising as necessary for resolution
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Manage extremely dynamic and constantly evolving schedules
  • Help create and maintain communication with internal team members and external stakeholders
  • Cultivate a positive culture for the company
  • Adapt to a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
  • Assist in special projects and initiatives as assigned

Key qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Arts / Bachelor's of Science Degree, or equivalent working experience
  • 3+ years of related work experience at a fast-moving organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and social skills
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Slack
  • Confident self-starter that can take a task and run with it with limited supervision
  • Able to anticipate problems and/or needs of your executive and proactively offer solutions and make recommendations
  • Well organized and acute attention to detail
  • Able to maintain high levels of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Creative problem solver working with high efficiency
  • Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex meetings and designing scalable operating cadences
  • Availability to perform job duties outside of normal business hours, when necessary

Salary/Pay Range:

For individuals hired to work in California, Science is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. We determine your level based on your interview performance and make an offer based on geo-located salary bands. The base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 – $120,000 + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please keep in mind that the equity portion of the offer is not included in these numbers.
