This is a remote position.
Seal is a carbon-neutral, decentralized cloud storage provider. Seal's technical leadership brings decades of experience from traditional enterprise storage companies including Seagate and Oracle, as well as world-class experience on the Filecoin Network. Post its ongoing Series A financing, Seal will rapidly become the largest provider of decentralized storage in North America (and then worldwide).
Role Title: Senior Software Engineer, Back End
Responsibilities:
Develop core software for the company across infrastructure and product.
Optimize Lotus - Protocol Lab’s implementation of the Filecoin protocol, written in Go and Rust.
Support strategic integrations that will enable storage of many PiBs of data.
Support CI/CD tools integration, change management, and maintenance.
Remote.
Requirements
Qualifications:
BA/BSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
Significant experience developing in Go, Rust, JavaScript, or object-oriented languages.
Experience with large-scale systems, especially with significant storage components.
Very strong linux development experience.
Bonus Experience:
Leading open source projects, and/or guiding their communities.
A solid understanding of distributed systems principles and applications.
Security engineering and/or cryptography principles and practices.
Blockchain and smart contract development experience.
Experience with storage systems such as Ceph, Gluster, ZFS, etc.
