About the Team:

The People team supports and maximizes the potential of Worldcoin's greatest asset, its employees. We oversee and support the entire employee lifecycle at Worldcoin—from attracting and hiring top talent through supporting a growing and thriving team—while cultivating an inclusive workplace culture.

About the Opportunity:

This person will be the first People Operations Manager at our Berlin HQ office location. In this role, you are an integral part of supporting our people through their employee experience journey at TFH.

  • 30% - support high-performing output and behaviors, including L&D (learning and development) and performance management
  • 30% - real-time visibility and support for people-related matters
  • 20% - navigate German employment laws and payroll functions, to mitigate employment-related risks
  • 20% - manage new hire onboarding functions and cross-functional support to provide a seamless onboarding experience

In this role, you will:

  • Manage all aspects of People Operations in our German entity, including support teams in each location
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, statutory laws, and policies
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement the entire new hire onboarding process, including new hire set up, orientation, and check ins
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors; advising through complex and/or sensitive matters within an appropriate time frame
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Be the main point of contact as it relates to People for all German employees
  • Ensure payroll and insurance are processed accurately and timely, maintaining records for accounting/finance
  • Understand and keep up to date with German payroll and employment laws, and regulations
  • Administer basic to complex HR processes and tasks
  • Rollout people policies and programs
  • Work closely with the US People Ops team to maintain a cohesive employee experience
  • Manage additional offices in Europe from a People perspective
  • Assist and manage German immigration cases

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • At least five to six years of human resource management in a global startup environment experience is preferred
  • Must be fluent in English and German
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience handling German payroll (timesheets, time off tracking), employment laws, and audits
  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Resourceful with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems
