The Operations & Manufacturing department at Tools for Humanity is responsible for all aspects of driving the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics,Physical Security, Field Operational Compliance, and Technical Support of our world-class hardware devices reaching billions of people globally. About the Opportunity:
The desired Technical Program Manager (TPM) will oversee Hardware engineering programs and use their extensive knowledge and experience to mitigate project risk and build a manufacturing strategy. They will drive cross-functional initiatives and leverage leadership, communication, organization, planning, and collaboration skills to create impact across all teams. The TPM will work amongst the engineering, business, finance, design, and legal teams to deliver hardware products on time and within budget. TPMs at Tools for Humanity are required to think both strategically and tactically and do what it takes to successfully deliver key programs that have a material impact on the business. TPMs are problem solvers who make things happen around them by setting clear goals and inspiring teams to deliver.
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for program management, build planning, materials requirements planning, forecasting, logistics planning, engineering iterations, and distribution planning
- Maintain and manage high-level project structure and timeline while communicating updates on deliverables to a broader team including engineering, product, and business leadership
- Drive schedule, cost, and quality as part of delivering world-class hardware products including EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP production build support by managing engineering, production, and additional internal/external stakeholders
- Leverage technical expertise with large-scale manufacturing and production systems to identify risks and to ensure smooth project launches
- Lead iterative delivery of strategic cross-functional products and initiatives from concept to ship, through focus, transparency, communication, visibility, and accountability
- Identify systemic issues impacting Tools for Humanity engineering and take action to resolve
- Implement production strategies and build planning to meet Worldcoin’s current and future technical and business requirements
- Provide recommendations to management, and finalize/release contract/PO
- Support Engineering via hands-on solving of technical problems
- Selection, recruitment, and supporting suppliers.
About You:
- 8 years of experience in guiding cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects iteratively with multiple dependencies and constraints, in a highly dynamic and agile environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (highly preferred), Science, Business, Supply Chain or similar field.
- Proven ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of extreme ambiguity, with only high-level direction
- Experience building roadmaps, release plans, project plans with a thorough understanding of dependency management using frameworks such as Gantt charts, build matrices, requirements traceability matrices, etc
- Ability to communicate highly technical problems and solutions at all levels from engineer to partner to C-level executives
- Experience compiling and presenting business & technology options, backed by data & experimentation, to decision makers
- You’re executional driven and have a hands-on mentality!
- Experience with PLM and ERP systems. CAPM or PMP certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to dive deep into a subject matter, while simultaneously keeping the bigger picture and strategy at the forefront
- Comfort with legal frameworks and contract negotiation (development, supply, licensing, and service agreements) is a plus
- Fluency in English is a must. German language skills are a plus.
