About the Role
As the Global Head of Social and Community you will lead our social media presence across all platforms and regions.
This role is mission-critical to building World’s global identity, with a hyper focus on engaging communities, building trust, navigating complex technological conversations, and staying relevant.
You’ll be responsible for setting and executing the global social strategy while building a high impact team. This role is equal parts strategic thinker and hands-on doer—someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, can manage team members and consultants in multiple timezones, knows social media inside and out, and sees around corners before trends hit the mainstream.
You will be a key partner to the Chief Communications Officer when it comes to crisis communications, global launches, and general external integrated communications strategies.
Responsibilities
Lead and evolve the organization’s global social media strategy across all platforms (X/Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Telegram, Discord, etc.)
Build and manage a high performing social team of internal and external content creators and community managers
Oversee and execute on real-time engagement, platform growth, content performance, and storytelling
Build and scale vibrant online communities across diverse geographies and audience types
Get in the weeds on content creation for key initiatives
Develop systems for social listening, sentiment analysis, and real-time response
Own and lead high-stakes crisis communication and reputation management across platforms
Collaborate closely with Communications, Marketing, Product, and regional teams to ensure consistency and alignment in messaging
Track performance metrics and continuously optimize for reach, engagement, and trust
Experiment with new formats and platforms, ensuring the team stays on the cutting edge of social media trends
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of experience leading social media in a global capacity for a high profile company or organization—preferably in tech, crypto, AI, or mission-driven industries.
Deep expertise across all major social platforms, with a strong editorial and creative sensibility.
Proven ability to build, scale, and engage large online audiences from scratch or in high-growth environments.
Demonstrated experience in social media crisis management and handling complex public-facing issues with discretion and agility.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing team members and coordinating across time zones.
Comfort working in high-speed, high-stakes environments with ambiguity and change.
A passion for innovation, curiosity about emerging platforms, and a willingness to test new approaches.
Highly collaborative and communicative with cross-functional stakeholders.

Pay transparency statement (for CA and NY based roles):
The reasonably estimated salary for this role at TFH ranges from $190k - 230k plus a competitive long term incentive package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
